Edit - Paste

This command works differently depending upon which window is active. If you are working in the Comments window, this command will paste text from the clipboard into Comments.

Otherwise, this command pastes the contents of the Scrap Buffer to the current location in the song.

If the Scrap Buffer contains only a single track’s worth of data, then the Destination Track field will determine the track onto which RealBand pastes the data. This defaults to the Current Track. If the Scrap Buffer contains several tracks worth of data, then RealBand will paste the data onto those same exact tracks (unless you specifically use the 1-Track Paste command).

The repetitions option will cause the paste to repeat for as many times as you specify.

This command can also paste a Standard MIDI File from the Windows clipboard. If you're using another MIDI application capable of copying a Standard MIDI File to the clipboard, such as Band-in-a-Box, this is very convenient. Keep in mind that this command does not paste meter changes.

The Options field gives you these choices:

1) Merge the Paste with existing data.

2) Overwrite Existing data.

3) Create a Gap on the currently Selected Tracks.

4) Create a Gap on all tracks.

Events Checkbox: When this checkbox is checked, the command will paste any events that were copied or cut into the scrap buffer.

Tempo Changes Checkbox: When this checkbox is checked, the paste command will paste any tempo changes that were copied or cut into the tempo scrap buffer.

Advance Now after paste Checkbox: After the Paste is completed, this will advance the current time to the end of the pasted area. This feature is useful when you plan to create a new track or new song section from multiple Pastes.

Crossfade when Pasting Audio Checkbox: This helps reduce or eliminate annoying clicks at the boundaries of the paste.
